Bríd is originally from An Cheathrú Rua.

Bríd is working as the administrator of the Community Employment Programme that is being run in Ionad na Ceathrún Rua in conjunction with FÁS, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Údarás na Gaeltachta.

The aim of this programme is to store the Raidió na Gaeltachta audio collection on CDs and to file the material on a database.

Bríd has a B.A. in Irish and Geography, as well as the Ardteastas san Oideachas.
