Biography

Máire Treasa is from Tír an Fhia. 

She is the University’s representative on the intervarsity project to provide a language course for students of Irish. Two courses have now been completed – Dúshraith and Forás and the third course will begin shortly. 
Máire Treasa is involved in teaching Irish to the community through an Dioplóma sa Ghaeilge.

She worked as an Irish Lecturer in An Garda Síochána College, in Coláiste Phádraig, Droim Conrach and as a Lecturer and Researcher in Applied Linguistics in St. Patrick’s College Maynooth. 

She completed a B.A. in Irish, a postgraduate qualification (ADO) and an M.A. sa Nua-Ghaeilge.
