Biography

Máire is originally from An Cheathrú Rua, Co. Galway. 

She completed a B.A. in Irish and History as well as an tArd-Teastas san Oideachas in the National University of Ireland, Galway.  She also completed a Dioplóma Iarchéime sa Bhunmhúinteoireacht in Coláiste Pádraig, Droim Conrach. She worked as a court stenographer and a primary school teacher before she started working with an tAcadamh. 

In an tAcadamh she is involved in teaching, researching and directing various courses – An Dioplóma sa Ghaeilge, special courses, intensive courses and night classes.
