Marianne is originally is from Dublin.

She is the Head of the Performing Arts Department for the Acadamh, The National University of Ireland, Galway.

Marianne has more than ten years professional experience in the Performing and Traditional Arts.  She spent five years as the CEO of Siamsa Tíre, The National Folk Theatre and Arts Centre in Tralee, Co. Kerry.  During her time in Siamsa she sat on the Board of Samhlaíocht Chiarraí, the arts organisation responsible for the Tralee Easter Arts Festival and the Kerry Film Festival.  She was also a founding committee  member of the Music Festival ’Bloom’.

Marianne spent two years as the General Manager of The Taibhdhearc Theatre, the National Theatre of the Irish Language.  Other jobs held by Marianne over the years include, producer, director, arts facilitator, actor, drama course designer and voice overs.  She is currently a Board Member of Branar Drámaíochta Teo.
