Biography

Cassie is originally from Carna, Iorras Aithneach. 

Cassie is working as a Translation Executive since 2005. She is involved in teaching and co-ordinating the academic programmes being run by the Translation and Corpus Planning Unit, including Dioplóma Iarchéime / M.A. (Léann an Aistriúcháin), Dioplóma sna Dána (Scileanna Aistriúcháin), and Léann an Aistriúcháin (B.A. Omnibus).

Cassie attended the University of Limerick where she completed a degree in Irish and French. She has also completed an M.A. i Staidéar an Aistriúcháin in the National University of Ireland, Galway.

She has also spent some time working as a professional translator. Cassie has received accreditation from Foras na Gaeilge and her name is published on the official panel of translators on the Foras na Gaeilge website.
