This is an innovative postgraduate programme that will equip the student with all the skills necessary to progress further in the field of language planning. Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge is the first third level institute in Ireland, or in Europe, to offer a postgraduate course in language planning.

Assessment
|
There are 8 modules in this course. 5 modules are undertaken in first year and 3 modules in second year (by means of two seminars where the full-time option is chosen). A dissertation (15,000 words) must be written as part of the course. The course is taught through the medium of lectures, seminars, strategic working groups and workshops. The student’s progress is monitored through continuous assessment in the form of minor projects, theoretical essays, participation in course activities and a presentation.
